La saga Grand Theft Auto és una de les sagues més populars i seguides de tots els temps en diversos països. Originalment havia estat creada per Dave Jones, i posteriorment DMA Design amb l'ajuda de Sam Houser, Dan Houser i Leslie Benzies, que posteriorment es van fer cridar Rockstar North, pertanyent a la companyia Rockstar Games.
Grand Theft Acte, també abreujat GTA, conta la història de diferents criminals i, tot i ser diversos, eventualment es van relacionant i embolicant en problemes d'altres personatges mesura que passa el temps.
